Robert J. Bova

Robert Joseph Bova, age 77, of Boston's North End, formerly of the West End and Revere, passed away on May 22nd following a long battle with leukemia. Beloved son of the late Frank Joseph and Mildred Louise (Falino) Bova, he is survived by three sisters, Lorraine C. Addario of Revere, Angela M. Bova of Windham, NH and Joyce P. Bova-Koster and her husband, Peter, also of Windham, nephew Carmen R. Addario and his wife Phyllis of Beverly, niece Lori A. Addario of Lynn, and many great and great, great nephews and nieces.

Born and raised in the West End, Robert attended the Winchell, Peter Faneuil and Blackstone schools, as well as Boston Latin School. He was a member of the West End House and camp. His family moved to Revere in 1953 and lived there for many years. Robert was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving as a journalist and public information specialist from 1955 to 1959. He was a graduate of Boston University's College of Communication where he earned a BS degree in public relations in 1963. He was employed for many years at the General Electric Company in Lynn. Following an early retirement in 1989, Robert moved to West Palm Beach, Florida. In 2006 he took up residence in Asheville, North Carolina, moving back to Boston in 2010.

Funeral from the Boston Harborside Home, 580 Commercial St Boston, MA 02109 for a Mass at St. Joseph Church, Boston at 10:45am. Family will be receiving visitors at the funeral home from 8:30-10:15am prior to the Mass. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett, MA.

I remember Bob from BU, where we both graduated the same year and took classes together.
I remember hm at GE Lynn, I was at GE in CT the same time, and we both served in the military as public information specialists.

to the family, so sorry to hear of the passing og robert though i just met him last summer down the water front with my dog we became freind fast only to find out im a bova too and that he lives in the same building as my mom in the casa maria. he was a great guy with alot of style rest in peace buddy.
