Thomas Koom Fung Wah, 89 years old, of Arlington, died peacefully and comfortably on Wednesday Oct 23, 2019 at his residence in Arlington. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on December 16, 1930. He was the son of the late Lee Lum Wah and Lee Sun Yu. He was proceeded in death by his brother Kuen Poy Wah. He is survived by his wife Shui Fong; sister Julie Lee and Tsuei Kin Lee; children, Elizabeth Wah, Beverly O’Brien, Jackie Wah, Debbie Tang, Sally Malis; son in-law, Michael O’Brien; daughter in-law, Joan Linker; grandchildren, Michael (and wife Hannah), Jessica, Katherine, Matthew, Sarah, Laura, Austin, Emily ,John Thomas; great grandchildren Logan and Mason. Thomas worked as a waiter at Joy Fong in Cambridge, Sun Tuey in Boston, Lanai Island in Waltham and South Pacific Restaurant in Newton. He had part ownership of Ho Yuen Bakery, Boston and Lanai Island Restaurant, Waltham, MA. He loved his instant lottery tickets as well as Ferrero Rocher Roasted Hazelnut Chocolates. Family and friends are invited to his visitation and funeral service on Friday, Nov 1, 2019 from 10:00am to 12:00pm at the Waterman-Langone Funeral Home at Boston Harborside, 580 Commercial Street, Boston, MA 02109. Burial will take place at Mount Auburn Cemetery, 580 Mt Auburn St, Cambridge, MA 02138 immediately after the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Cancer Association of America in memory of Thomas Wah.
