When I think of Gramps, I think, "LEADER"...A leader of a fabulous family. We were all lucky to call him husband, Dad, brother, cousin, uncle, Gramps, and Great-Gramps. Why? He was a model of strength, faith, morality, hard work, and patriotism. He was and still is our beacon that keeps his family grounded to be good people for now and generations to come as he continues to guide us from God's magnificent kingdom.

Al was a very special person whom we got to know only too recently, and that is part of our sorrow. We wish we had known this quiet, gentle, unassuming man for much longer. We will sincerely miss you good friend. If there is a heaven, you deserve a good spot Al. May you rest with the best of the angels. Love Ray, Dick, and Florence

Gramps was my favorite man in the whole world. He's one of those people that we strive to emulate. Its a miracle God allowed us to have him as long as he did. I feel blessed to be his granddaughter.

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it's the memories of you that are the most precious.
