Alice Kilby Bissonette, 65, of Sagamore Beach, MA, passed away on January 10, 2024. Born on November 1, 1958, in Brockton, MA, Aly was a beloved wife, sister, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Alice Bissonette, also known as Aly, had a passion for life and a kind heart. She was a dog lover, avid gardener, and enjoyed traveling extensively. Aly's green thumb was admired by many, as she cultivated beautiful gardens that brought joy to those around her. Her love for animals, especially Golden Retrievers, was evident in her having many generations of "Goldens."
Aly's educational journey began in Whitman and continued her education at the Museum of Fine Arts School at Tufts University, where she honed her artistic abilities and studied the architecture of Antonio Gaudí.
In addition to her hobbies, Aly was an important member of the family business Whitman Tool & Die, where she learned about the manufacturing of tools and dies. Her dedication and hard work led her to become the vice president of the company. Aly's contributions were invaluable, and her expertise in the industry was widely recognized.
Aly is survived by her loving husband, Phil Bissonette, as well as her brothers, Paul Werthen, Thomas Werthen, and Peter Werthen. She is also survived by her nephews Steven, Andrew and Daniel and a niece Jessica Macdonald. She was preceded in death by her father, Allan G. Werthen, and her mother, Audrey L. (Stevens) Werthen.
A celebration of Aly's life will occur in the Spring of 2024, where friends and family will gather to honor her memory and share stories of the joy she brought to their lives.
Aly Kilby Bissonette will forever be remembered for her kind heart, love for gardening, and adventurous spirit. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth and compassion that will continue to inspire those who knew her. May she rest in peace.
