Ann (Voner) Crowley, age 95, beloved wife of John J. Crowley, passed away on March 11, 2018 at her home in Buzzards Bay. From her birth in Watertown, on December 9, 1922 to her death on Sunday, she nurtured those around her with love, food, music and humor.
As a young mother of five children she served in the Women’s Auxiliary of the VFW Post 1272, Waverly, MA. Later she was a member of the Sweet Adelines singing with Liberty Bells of Arlington and the Cranberry Shores of Bourne. Her and her family were long time members of the Taxiarchae Greek Orthodox Church in Watertown, MA.
Upon her retirement from Mutual Wausau Insurance she moved with John to Buzzards Bay where she was active in many groups such as the Bourne Council on Aging and served as President of the Bourne Women’s Club.
Left to honor Ann and remember her love are her remaining children Valerie Voner, Walter Voner, and Jeffery Voner as well as John’s children John and Michael Crowley and Patricia Smith and a brother, Charlie Hunt. She also leaves twelve grandchildren, thirteen great grand children, and many nieces and nephews.
Ann will be remembered as a bright, shining light in the various communities groups she served.
A celebration of life gathering will be held in late spring. The family would like to extend our gratitude to all the staff at Attentive Home Care, the Bourne Fire Department, and the VNA Hospice of Cape Cod for their support and loving care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Letters and cards may be sent to P.O. Box 537 East Wareham, MA 02538.
