Bruce G. Harper of Bourne, MA died on February 24, 2021 after a long and courageous battle with an illness. He was 73 years old. He was the son of the late Edwin and Ellen "Nell" (Smokay) Harper and brother to the late Edwin Harper. He graduated from Sandwich High School in 1967 and served in the United States Army. After his service, Bruce worked for General Electric as an X-Ray machine installer and service man.
In 1980, he and his wife Sharon (Coppi) Harper founded Northeast X-Ray which was sold to TRW in 1985.
Bruce is survived by his wife Sharon, two sons, Christopher and Jameson and his wife Jacey and his 3 beautiful grandchildren, Sarah, Paxton and Desmond who were the joy of his life. Also leaves 2 nephews Ron and his wife Pat of MA and Paul and his wife Carolyn of CA. Bruce enjoyed waterskiing, boating and swimming at his beloved Sagamore Beach. Bruce also served as President of the Shamrods Car Club and loved cruising in his 1937 Ford Coupe Hot Rod. He also enjoyed going to car shows with his friends.
He leaves his family and friends with many fond memories. Bruce's larger than life laugh and favorite way to say goodbye to anyone was "Have fun!" His true legacy, what will remain forever, is his kind spirit and ever bigger heart, his love for his family and most of all, his strength and courage which is an inspiration for us all.
