Queenan , Catherine E. ‘Cathy’, age 67 recently of Buzzards Bay, formerly of Milton and Savin Hill, lost her fight with cancer late Nov. 26. Beloved wife to Thomas K. Queenan of Buzzards Bay, formerly of Milton and Newton, adoring mother to Jennifer B. of Quincy and David M. of Raleigh, NC, and loving grandmother to Adam, Madison, and Shawn. She is also survived by seven of her eight brothers and sisters. Cathy went back to school as a mother of two, and became a Registered Nurse. During her nursing career, she was drawn to gerontology, and very much enjoyed caring for the elderly. She will be deeply missed by all whom knew her.
Visiting hours will be held from 1 to 4 pm on Sunday, December 4, 2011 in the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 40 MacArthur Blvd. in Bourne. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Monday at St. Margaret’s Church, 141 Main Street, Buzzards Bay. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
