Charles James Nickolaow

Charlie graduated from Brockton High School in 1965 and from Rutgers University in 1970 receiving his BA degree in history, where he also played football. He was married to the late Gloria (Woods) for 36 years.

In 1973 Charlie opened his restaurant, Charlie’s Place in Wareham, MA. It continues to run successfully to this day. Charlie is survived by his daughter, Catherine, her husband John Robertson and their daughter Olivia; a sister, Denise (Batchis Crutchfield); brother, Harry; and nephews Andrew and Evan Batchis. He was an avid reader, political buff and sports fan. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, swimming and traveling and one of his favorite places was Barbados.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Service on Friday, May 13, 2016 at 10 a.m. at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home 40 MacArthur Blvd. Bourne, MA. Visitation Thursday, May 12, 2016 5 to 8 p.m.
