October 1, 1937, he was the oldest of eight children of Claus and Luella (Zorn) Friedrichsen.
He was married to Marie (Ferretti) Friedrichsen for 61 years. Chaseley graduated from Bloomfield High School in May of 1955. In the fall of that year he entered the United States Air Force. After his Basic Training at Lackland AFB in Texas he was stationed domestically in Otis AFB, MA; Michigan, Nebraska,
North Carolina, Texas and Pease AFB, New Hampshire. His overseas assignments included 2 tours to Okinawa, Germany, South Korea and Turkey. Chaseley earned the Joint Services Commendation Medal; Air Force Commendation Medal; Meritorious Service Medal, as well as many other awards. After serving for 26 years, he retired at the rank of Senior Master Sergeant3 (E-8) on October 1, 1981.
Following his Air Force service, he was employed by the U.S. Postal Service in Hampton, New Hampshire for 20 years. In 2003, he moved to Sagamore, MA; and later became a volunteer at the Bourne Council of Aging. He served as Chairman for the TRIAD committee for eleven years. He also helped his neighborhood by making Adam Street in Sagamore as a one-way easing the traffic between Sandwich Road and Mid Cape Highway. He was a member of the Air Force Sergeants Association, Retired Enlisted Association, a life-long member of the Disabled Veterans, American Legion Post 0188, VFW Post #5988, and the Wareham Elks.
He is survived by two sons: Stephen Friedrichsen, of Eliot, ME; and Joseph Friedrichsen and his wife, Madeline of Westport MA ;Grandsons Dylan Friedrichsen, Owen Friedrichsen and Step-Grandson Justin Meader; brothers, Millard, Paul, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Chaseley, Jr.; and brothers Eldon, Douglas, Kenneth, and Morris Friedrichsen, and sister Chrystal Glinsmann.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 29, 2023 at St. Margaret's Church, Buzzards Bay, MA. Burial at the Massachusetts National Cemetery Bourne, MA. Visitation 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 28, 2023 at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home 40 MacArthur Blvd., Bourne, MA.
