Chester V. Brunstrom

Chester Brunstrom, 71, of Bourne passed away peacefully surrounded by family on May 6, 2013, after a long brave battle with lung cancer. Son of the late Stanley and Mildred (Quist) Brunstrom, he was born and raised in Quincy. Chet was proud to be a US Naval veteran serving honorably in the Vietnam War. Chet was a dedicated family man who was an avid golfer and loved outdoor activities. He was a loyal fan of the Bruins, Red Sox, Patriots and Celtics, and his children shared that passion. Chet was the beloved husband of Kathleen (Haskins) Brunstrom for 46 years; loving father of Sheryl Crosby and Steven of Plymouth, Laura Burton and Jeffrey of Braintree, and Brian Brunstrom of Bourne, and proud, devoted Papa of Erica, Evan, Kendra, Abigail, James, Kassidy, Nicole and Jessica; brother of the late Arthur“Stanley” Brunstrom and Roddie of Maryland, Ronald Brunstrom of Florida, and Richard Brunstrom and Debbie of Acton, a loving uncle, cousin and friend of many. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, May 12, 2013 from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 40 MacArthur Blvd, Bourne, MA. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 13, 2013 at 9:45 AM also at the Funeral Home. Burial Services with Military Honors will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
