Dorothy McCann Emmons, of Gray Gables, MA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 23rd, after a brief illness. She celebrated her 94th Birthday on December 20th. She was the wife of the late Charles Emmons and mother of the late Barbara Moschini.
Dottie “Dot” is survived by her 3 daughters, Eileen Dockendorf and her late husband John Dockendorf from South Portland, Maine and her children Peter and wife Taja their children Barohn and Lula of Cumberland, Maine. Son David and wife Jane and daughter Brooke of Winthrop, MA. Margaret “Peggy” Howarth from San Diego, CA her children Matt and wife Elizabeth their children, Madeline, Annabelle and Emma of San Diego CA, son Jonathan and wife Monica of San Francisco CA their children Katherine and Sophie. Daughter Erin Garriepy and husband Brent Garriepy of San Diego, CA their children Logan and Harper. Phyllis McCann and her late husband Robert Dyke from Pocasset, MA and stepson David Dyke and wife Justine of Charlotte, North Carolina and children Jace and Kara and a son, Charles McCann and his wife Cindy Lou from Winslow, Maine, their children Chuck and wife Amy their children Nicholas and Sophia of Vassalboro, Maine, Nicholas and partner Christine and their daughter Hayden of Sidney, Maine, daughter Tamamie Babb and husband Mike Babb of Chelsea,
Maine. She was predeceased by daughter Barbara Moschini and surviving children Chris Moschini, Tim Moschini and Becky Auld and her husband of Boston, MA.
She spent many years working at Cape Cod Bank and Trust. Then 25 years at Mass Maritime Academy until she was 72 years old as an account manager. She was an avid seamstress and knitter. She taught her daughters how to sew their own clothes and had won a sewing contest. She loved to dance and play cards. She was an active member of St. John the Evangelist Church in Pocasset, MA.
Dot so very much loved her home on Cape Cod having resided there for over 60 years. It was a destination place for all her family and friends.
Her family would like to say thank you and sincere appreciation to her caregivers Janice, Colleen and Silena.
Her visitation will be held from 1 to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home 40 MacArthur Blvd., Bourne, MA followed by a Funeral Service at 2:30 p.m. Burial immediately following at Oakland Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the Bourne Fire Department.
