

Edward S Dmytryck, 85 of Bourne Massachusetts passed awa yat home April 29, 2014. He was born March 9, 1929 in Natick Massachusetts. A graduate of Millis High School where he met his future bride Mary Ann Gagne. Edward served in the Korean War and remained an Army reservist until 1957 earning four bronze stars for his service in Korea. Edward married Mary Ann upon returning from Korea. Edward joined the family construction business owned and operated by his father Stephen Dmytryck. He taught his sons the construction business and built numerous homes in and around many of the Metro West suburban communities. Ed had many interests, farming, football, and John Wayne movies with a passion for the waters of Cape Cod. This passion eventually brought him to Cape Cod where he enjoyed fishing, boating and beaches. A passion he was able to continue with well into his retirement.
Edward was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ann, daughter Mary Jane, sons Jeffrey and Gregory Dmytryck. He is survived by two children: Keith Dmytryck of Wareham Ma. and Elizabeth Dmytryck of Westport Connecticut. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Matthew Joyce of Florida, Christine Pimenta, and Kevin Dmytryck of Cape Cod, and three great-grandchildren. Friends and family, a wake will be held at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 40 MacArthur Boulevard, Bourne Massachusetts on Thursday, May 8, 2014 from 4 to 7 PM. Interment at Massachusetts National Cemetery will take place on Thursday, May 15, 2014. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
