

BOURNE - Elaine Grace Robin, 79, passed away peacefully on Saturday at home surrounded by her loving family after a courageous ten year battle with cancer. Elaine was born in Fall River, MA, to the late Frank and Grace DeAndrade. She is survived by her husband Colin J. Robin and her brother Floyd M. DeAndrade. She was adored by her children, Karen G. LeMay, her husband Roger C. LeMay and granddaughter, Fawn L. LeMay. Kathleen A. Mandigo, her husband George E. Mandigo, and granddaughters, Stephanie A. and Emily E. Mandigo. Her son Kevin C. Robin, his wife Jane M. Robin and granddaughter, Cassandra M. Robin.
Elaine was a Registered Nurse graduate from the Truesdale School of Nursing in Fall River, MA. She loved being with family and her home was a gathering place for family and friends.
She was very active in showing her champion Sharpei dogs at many different venues. Elaine and her husband spent several winters in St. John, U.S.V.I. relaxing and sailing around the islands. She and her husband traveled extensively to Asia, Europe, South America and the Caribbean.
A resident of Gray Gables for 50 years, Elaine’s grandfather, Marcelius Chandler lived in Gray Gables in 1903, where he would shake hands with President Grover Cleveland and take the train from the Gray Gables Station.
A funeral service will be held at Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home 40 MacArthur Blvd. Bourne, on Wednesday March 18th at 10 AM for family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Elaine to Cape Cod Healthcare Foundation, (Falmouth Hospital), Post Office Box 370, Hyannis, MA 02601.
Burial will be private at a later date.
