Elizabeth "Lainie" Elaine Olson

Elizabeth E. (Lainie) Olson, 88, of Riverview, Florida, formerly of Naples, Florida, and Falmouth, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at home on October 13, 2026, following a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family.

Lainie was the beloved wife of Harold “Ned” Olson, with whom she shared 60 years of marriage before his passing in 2019.

She was born in Milford, Massachusetts, to Albion and Elsie (Morris) Carlson and attended school in Millis, Massachusetts.

Lainie worked for Sears and Roebuck for 25 years before moving to Naples, Florida, in 1985. There, she spent another 25 years working at The Beach House of Naples, retiring in 2012. In 2015, she and Ned moved to Riverview, Florida, to be closer to their family.

Lainie enjoyed traveling, camping, and, most of all, spending time with her family. The time she shared with those she loved was an important part of her life, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her three children: Richard E. Olson and his wife, Lori, of League City, Texas; Kim E. Lehy and her husband, Spencer, of Riverview, Florida; and Kandise E. Abell and her husband, Jeff, of East Falmouth, Massachusetts. She also leaves behind six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, who will cherish her memory.

A private graveside service will be held at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, Massachusetts, where Lainie will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband, Ned.
