

Felix "Fil" P. Yarusites, beloved husband of Kathryn J. (Angus) Yarusites, passed away quietly at the age of 90 on November 1st, 2012 at Forestview Nursing Home in Wareham, Mass. Forever missing him-along with Kathryn-will be his children, Linda (Yarusites) Mazza and husband Tony, Michael Yarusites and wife Susan, Terri (Yarusites) Johnson and husband Shane, Mary Pat Yarusites, and Annie Yarusites-Attaya and husband Steve; 10 Grandchildren, and 23 Great-Grandchildren.
Fil proudly served the country he loved as a soldier in the Army during WW II, in Company A, 114th Infantry, 44th Division, rising to 1st Sergeant, receiving the Bronze Star Medal, American Theatre Ribbon, ETO Campaign Ribbon with 3 Bronze Service Stars, Good Conduct Medal, and the Combat Infantry Badge for his courage in battles across Europe from 1944-1945. He and Kathryn were married on November 25, 1945, following his honorable discharge.
Fil and Kathryn raised their family in Norton, Mass, on a small farm, where they enjoyed their animals and outdoor activities. Avid New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox and Celtics fans, Fil and Kay went to many Patriots games in Foxboro. He worked at Texas Instruments for over 30 years. They moved to Buzzards Bay in 1986 to be close to the sea, where they made many new friends and spent many joyful hours quahogging by the Mass Maritime Academy, taking cross-country roadtrips, and generally just enjoying life.
Fil will be remembered for his jovial spirit which was contagious to all those he touched.

Visitation is at Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home in Bourne from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. on Monday, November 5, followed by a Mass at St. Margaret's Church on Main St, Buzzards Bay at 10:00 a.m.. Funeral Procession immediately following for 11:15 a.m. burial service at the National Cemetery at Otis. Please join Fil's loved ones afterward for a Reception at the Eagles Hall on Cohasset Ave in Buzzards Bay.
