His daughter, Krista Ventura of Pocasset, was at his bedside along with her two children, Vincent and Geoffrey Ventura of Florida. Also present was his brother Keith “Kip” Pedersen of Monument Beach and his two life-long friends, David MacLean and Sam Swift.
Geoff was a contractor and painter by trade who cherished a simple job well done. He mentored aspiring painters over the years, of whom soon flourished adding to the beauty and charm along the shore of the Upper Cape area. He taught them by hand to show the fineness of smooth wooden finishes and perfectly squared corners. His work was of the highest caliber, contributing to the beauty of the communities that define places like Scraggy Neck, Amarita Island, and Wings Neck.
Geoff graduated from Bourne High School in 1972. Through his long and distinguished career, he dabbled in a variety of entrepreneurial ventures. He was an “Idea Man” balancing the impeccable traits associated with superior craftsmanship and an imagination that knew no bounds.
He was a visionary in his own right and such a kind and generous soul. He was delighted in helping others and will most certainly be missed by the many who came to know and love him along the shoreline that was his life.
A memorial service will be held at Nickerson Bourne Funeral Home, 40 MacArthur Blvd, Bourne, MA 02532 at 12PM with a calling beginning at 11AM on June 6, 2026. A private burial in Cataumet Cemetery will follow.
