Born in Providence, RI a son of Carl Franklin and Catherine (Forbes) Hammerle.
George had worked as a yacht rigger for Falmouth Marine for twenty eight years prior to his retirement. He was also a professional photographer for the Falmouth Enterprise covering sports photography, special events for Bourne, Falmouth and Sandwich papers. He also had a business, known as Hammerle Photography where he did weddings, family portraits and senior portraits. He was a Little League coach, Youth Baseball coach and Babe Ruth coach, as well as a coach for the Bourne Swish League. He was a member of a bowling league on Tuesday mornings at Ryan's Family Amusements in Buzzards Bay. He was a member of the Wareham YMCA and loved going for his daily walks and sitting by the canal. The biggest loves of his life was his family and friends. He will always be remembered for his infectious smile! He was loved by so many!
George Dennis Hammerle, of Buzzards Bay passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Massachusetts General Hospital. He was the husband of Anne Louise (Sadlier) Hammerle.

Besides his wife he is survived by his son Jason Hammerle and his wife Heidi Hammerle of Plymouth, his daughter Tracey Gast and her husband Richard Gast of Plymouth, his daughter Rachel Hesse and Shawn Hesse of Portsmouth, Virginia, his son George Hammerle Jr., and his wife Amanda Hammerle of Fall River, his brother Carl Hammerle of Tampa, FL, his brother David Hammerle of Springfield, Vermont, his sister Linda Benoit and her partner Danny Worth of Springfield, Vermont, his sister Donna Signorelli of Atteboro and his brother Michael Hammerle of Pawtucket, Rhode Island.
He is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as being the proud Papa of eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home 40 MacArthur Blvd., Bourne, MA. Visitation 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, January 24, 2020. Interment is private.
