

Gunter Schulz of Holliston, MA, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at the Royal Falmouth Nursing Center. He was born in Bernstadt, Germany and was the son of the late Bernard and Frieda (Tiehl) Schulz.
He had served an apprenticeship in Germany and later became a European chef. He immigrated to Canada in the early 1950's and worked at the Digby Pines Nova Scotia and the Ritz Carlton in Montreal. He later moved to Boston, MA where he was the executive chef at Sydney Hill Country Club, Pleasant Valley Country Club and St. Mark's School.
He was the loving husband of the late Lois Schulz to whom he was married for 62 years. He was also preceded by his daughter Heidi Casassa.
He leaves behind his son Steven Schulz of Heath Springs, S.C., and daughter Susan Davis and her husband John of Falmouth. He also leaves behind his son-in-law Allan Casassa of Cambridge as well as 3 grandsons and 5 great-grandchildren.
