Helen grew up in New Bedford and attended New Bedford High and Kinyon Campbell Secretarial Schools. She lived in Rochester since 1962. She enjoyed music, both teaching piano, as well as playing for the Rochester Seniors. She also enjoyed embroidery sewing. She always had a great passion and love of animals of all kinds.
She is survived by her son David M. Butts of Buford, GA, and her daughter Susan L. Mello of Rochester, MA. Her Grandchildren; Michael Butts of Plymouth, Jill Queally of Milton, Kaitlin Mello of New Bedford and Paige Mello of Rochester, and 8 Great Grandchildren.
She is preceded in passing by her loving husband Herbert F. Butts, to whom shared 49 years in marriage.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 5th at 10:00 AM at St. Gabriel's Parish in Marion, MA, burial will follow in their Cremation Garden.
