Born in Needham, MA, he was the son of the late Herbert and Bombina “Bea” (Tomaino) Brooks.
He was a veteran of the United States Airforce and served during the Korean War.
Mr. Brooks had retired from AT&T/Lucent after 29 years. He loved playing golf and him and his wife enjoyed traveling throughout the United States.
He is survived by Donna M. Celorier and her husband Richard of Framingham, Thomas Brooks and his wife Liane of Ashland, Michael Brooks and his wife Erin of East Sandwich, Kevin Brooks and his wife Suzy of Sagamore Beach and Katie Cleary of Grand Lake, CO; a brother, Kenneth Brooks of Las Vegas, NV; 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and a nephew Phillip Brooks of FL. He was also the uncle of the late Kenny Brooks.
