John Joseph Hudson

Hudson, John “Jack” of Plymouth, formerly of Quincy, passed away suddenly on November 8, 2022. Jack was born in Boston to the late Joseph and Gertrude Hudson. Jack grew up in Quincy and was a graduate of North Quincy High School. He was a proud United States Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. Jack worked in maintenance for the city of Quincy. Jack's family was the cornerstone of his life, especially his grandson Caleb. He also enjoyed time spent by the Cape Cod Canal with his wife Lynda. In his down time he loved doing crosswords, working around the house and watching The Patriots.

Beloved husband of 50 years to Lynda Hudson (Rice) of Plymouth. Loving father of Theresa Hudson of Acushnet, MA and Michelle Schultz and her husband Scott of East Wareham MA. Devoted Grampy to Caleb Schultz. Dear brother of Chuck and Dottie Hudson of North Carolina, Robert and Judy Hudson of Florida, Rose and Ken Lally of Florida and Donna Johnson of Boston and predeceased by 6 siblings. Also survived by his canine companion Iris and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Wednesday, December 7, 10 AM - 12 PM in The Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 40 MacArthur Blvd, Bourne, MA 02532. A celebration of life service will follow the visitation at 12 PM in the funeral home. Burial to follow the funeral service at 1:45 in MA National Cemetery, Bourne.
