

Joseph Lawrence Reynolds Jr. 80, of Buzzards Bay, Bradenton, FL and formerly of Holbrook died Dec. 2, 2011 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Helen E.(Mullarkey) Reynolds. Born in Quincy, MA son of the late Joseph and Mary (O'Neil) Reynolds Sr. He was also predeceased by 3 sisters Anne Ogle, Elaine Reynolds and Mary Murray. He was a 1949 graduate of Sacred Heart High School, Weymouth. He was a US Army veteran serving from 1952 to 1954 attaining the rank of Corporal and was a medic. In his working years he was a Supervisor for New England Telephone retiring after 38 years of service. In his spare time he loved gardening especially growing hydrangeas, fishing, shell fishing, golfing, cooking and wintering in Florida. He most cherished being with the grandchildren. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus and the VFW. In addition to his wife Helen, he is survived by 1 son Joseph Reynolds III of Buzzards Bay, 4 daughters Joanne O'Connell and her husband Edward of Mansfield, Maura Crowley and her husband Donald of Wrentham, Caryl Reynolds-Franks and her husband Kevin of Foxboro and Lynda Natsis and her husband Anastasios of Bridgewater 14 loving grandchildren, 1 sister Claire Martell of Abington and many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday Dec. 6th from 4 to 8 PM at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday Dec. 7th at 11 AM at St. Margarets Church 141 Main St Buzzards Bay.
