Karen enjoyed her horses as a young girl, in her teens she loved working on cars, alongside her brother Cliff. She also loved driving and listening to music, going on adventures with her closest friends. She worked in her teen years, at Lambert's Engraving and Anodizing which she often spoke fondly of.
In her later years, she loved working on her home. Little by little, rebuilding the kitchen into a barn-like feel, which brought back memories of her time with her horses growing up. She also enjoyed landscaping, planting flowers, cooking, working on her car. Most importantly the time she'd spend caring for her family, especially helping raise her three loving grandsons.
She is survived by her son Rodney E. Seymour of Bourne, MA and her daughter Kelly E. Seymour-O’Brien of Bourne, MA.
Karen was also survived by her brother Clifford O'Brien of Greenville, SC. She was predeceased by her sisters Virginia O'Brien of Swansea and Beverly (O'Brien) Leedham.
She was blessed to have four Grandchildren Jennifer Elizabeth Grieco of Hull, MA, Nicholas John DeBlasio of Bourne, MA, Patrick Dean DeBlasio of Bourne, MA and Richard Everett Seymour of Bourne, MA. Karen also leaves behind three Great-Grandchildren Marley Elizabeth Grieco, Lennon Kennedy Grieco and Dominic Danger Grieco. In addition to, she leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday March 4, 2019 from 4-7 pm at Nickerson Bourne Funeral Home, 40 MacArthur Boulevard Bourne, MA.
