

Margaret Mary (Lassor) Heno, 92, of Pocasset, Massachusetts, passed away Friday, May 27, 2016 in Falmouth MA. She was born on October 17, 1923, in Bennington, Vermont, to Octave and Rose (Clarman) Lassor.
Her husband, Earl Douglas Heno, daughter Audette (Heno) Stokes, and three brothers, Richard, Lawrence, and Nelson Lassor preceded her in death. Margaret was a 1941 graduate of St. Joseph High School in Pittsfield MA. After graduating from high school she attended Berkshire Business College. She enjoyed a career as an administrative assistant for the Pittsfield Public Schools and City of Pittsfield Planning Board Department before retiring and moving to Pocasset with her husband in 1975.
She was an avid reader her entire life. She attended Cape Cod Community College for professional development and at home acquired numerous hobbies including ceramics, sewing, needlepoint, crocheting, knitting, quilting and braided rug work. She enjoyed bowling in local leagues, daily crossword puzzles and was a devoted fan of the Boston Red Sox. Her family and friends will miss her warmth, enthusiasm and cheerful smile. She is survived by her loving daughter, Amy (Heno) Kari, five grandchildren, Aaron and Evan of Medway, Erika Kari Sigismondo of Texas, Kimberly (Stokes) Egeland and Richard Stokes of California. She also leaves four great grandchildren. A private memorial service and burial will take place at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in her memory may be made to Friends of Bourne Council on Aging, P.O. Box 114 Buzzards Bay, MA 02532.
