

Pat passed away peacefully on March 21st, 2016, in Coconut Creek, Florida. She celebrated her 85th birthday this past January 31st. She was preceded in death by her husband Phillip T. Riley (December 29th, 2011).
Pat was born in South Boston to Emma and John McGuirk. Her family later moved to Hyde Park where she graduated Hyde Park High School in 1948. In 1956, she married Phil Riley.
Pat worked as a payroll supervisor for New England Power Service (later National Grid) for over 35 years. As a sportswoman, she loved golf and was a champion candlepin bowler. She was a crafter, volunteered at church, loved to read, and spend time with her many friends. Phil and Pat lived in Dedham for many decades. After retirement, they split their time between homes in Pocasset and Popmano Beach, Florida.
She is survived by her sister Phyllis McGuirk Scaccai (wife of Frederick) and her sister in laws, Vanita McGuirk (widow of Pat’s brother John L.), Dorothy Riley Stahley and Nancy Riley Faherty, and her brother in laws, John Riley and Jim Riley. Her brothers Mark J. McGuirk, Patrick L. McGuirk and John L. McGuirk preceeded her death. She leaves behind many beloved friends, nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours on Tuesday, March 29th, from 4-8pm at Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, MacArthur Blvd., Bourne, MA. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated Wednesday, March 30th, 10am, at St. John the Evangelist Church, Pocasset, MA. Interment to follow at the South Monument Cemetery, in Monument Beach. In lieu of flowers, a memorial offering may be made in Pat’s name to St. Vincent De Paul Society at St. John’s, PO Box 916, Pocasset MA, 02558.
