

Maurice "Moe" Michael Gosselin passed away at Mass General Hospital on June 6, 2025 at 75 years old following a brief illness. He was surrounded by his loving family and his wife, Sally Ann Gosselin (Yates), with whom he shared 52 wonderful years of marriage. Moe was born in New Bedford, MA to the late Maurice and Jeanne Gosselin (Chenel) on March 29, 1950.
Moe grew up in Acushnet, MA and attended New Bedford Public Schools. He became a third-generation barber after graduating from barber school in Boston and worked as a barber in Pocasset, MA and Mashpee Commons. Moe joined the United States Navy and served on the J.F.K aircraft carrier as well as the Coontz Class Destroyer. When he returned home, he got a job at The Steamship Authority in Woods Hole, MA where he became a bosun. He retired from the Hyannis terminal after 32 years.
Moe enjoyed golfing and going out to lunch with friends. His favorite hobby was fishing but his biggest enjoyment was spending time with family and friends.
Moe is survived by his wife, Sally Ann Gosselin (Yates), his son, Todd Yates Gosselin and his girlfriend Amanda Davies of Fall River, MA, His daughter, Chenel Anderson and her husband Derek Anderson of Sandwich, MA, and his grandchildren, Dustin Maurice Gosselin, William Michael Anderson, and Monty William Quinn. He is also survived by his brother, Raymond Gosselin of Martha's Vineyard, his sister, Debra Melanson of Sandwich, his sister, Valerie Maryanski of Nantucket, and many loved nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 15th, from 4pm - 7pm at Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home located at 40 MacArthur Blvd, Bourne, MA. A funeral service will be in the funeral home on Monday, June 16th, at 11:30am followed by a burial at Massachusetts National Cemetery.
