Michael Mayo Duca

Michael M. Duca, 36, passed away on July 12, 2016. Michael was a loving and caring father and husband is survived by his wife Angela J. Duca (Sorenti), son David M. Duca, mother Donna M. Stutz, father Mayo F. Duca, sister Nicole L. Duca, and many other family members and friends that will forever miss and love him.

He was a dedicated husband who loved his wife with all his heart. Angela and Michael were best friends and their love for each other was evident every day of the 14 years they were together. Their love will continue forever.

Michael was a very loving father. His son David was the light of his life. They loved swimming in the ocean of Sagamore Beach, playing basketball, fishing and taking adventures through the Indian path. Michael also enjoyed snowboarding, loved hockey, and took any chance he had to show his son the wonderful things that this world has to offer. His son adored him and looked up to him as the hero in his life.

Michael was loved by all of his family and friends. He had the ability to talk to complete strangers and make a lifelong friend after only a short conversation. He could relate to everyone and never judged or turned away anyone who needed help or comfort.

He was a true craftsman in his work. His work ethic was shown through the countless letters from customers praising the quality and care he put into every job.

He now rests peacefully in the arms of the Lord with his brother David M. Duca, cousin Nathaniel Fine, and all his family and friends who have gone before him. He will be missed and loved forever.

A Visitation with Michael's family will be held at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 40 MacArthur Boulevard in Bourne on Wednesday, July 20, from 4-8pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Corpus Christi Parish, 324 Quaker Meetinghouse Rd. in Sandwich on Thursday, July 21, at 11:00am.

Burial will be held privately.
