Milo M. Mendenhall, 69, of Sagamore Beach, Ma., and formerly of Iowa and Arizona, died Tuesday February 28, 2012. He is survived by his three children; Kim Babcock and her husband Steve, Jenny Mendenhall-Bellon and her husband Troy, and Steve Mendenhall and his significant other Jane, as well as seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his ex wife Eleanor and his brother Gene Bedard, and two sisters Jeanette Bedard and Phyllis Ward.
Milo loved to travel, especially to China, Central America, Europe and many of, if not all the 50 states. Throughout his life he held many professional positions. He worked at the Dallas County Conservation Commission in Iowa, as well as the Mesa Museum in Arizona. He also worked on many archaeological digs all over the country. Most recently he worked as a photographer.
A memorial service will be held on June 14, 2012 at Lake Ahquabi State Park in Indianola, Iowa at the Main Lodge.
