

Bourne, MA – Muriel R. Kindberg of Sagamore Beach, aged 94, died on April 23, 2018. She was the wife of the late Reginald L. Kindberg of Bourne, formerly of Brockton, MA. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Born and raised in Brockton, she was the only daughter of the late Maude A. and Fred Bird. After graduating from Brockton High School in 1942, she attended the Mass. Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Boston. She was Worthy Advisor of Brockton Assembly #20 Order of Rainbow for Girls. After marrying and raising a family she became active in the Order of Eastern Star while her husband was Master of Paul Dean Lodge in Easton, MA.
For many years she worked in Brockton as Office Nurse first for Dr. Joseph Ambrosino and later for Dr. John D’Orio. Upon retirement she and her late husband moved to their summer home in Sagamore Beach where they were communicants of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Sandwich and volunteers at the thrift shop. Muriel was also an officer of the Bourne Women’s Club and coordinated the Veteran’s Outreach Program. In recent years she has been a member of St. Peter’s on the Canal Episcopal Church in Buzzards Bay and a member of the Mary Martha Group.
She was the devoted mother of Valerie Gaines and her husband Gary, of Ashland, Donna Perron and her husband Ronald of Bridgewater, Lisa Whiting and her husband Scott, of South Dartmouth and the late Peter Kindberg and his surviving wife Kimberly of Whitinsville, MA.
She was the cherished grandmother of Shannon Giordano and her husband Stephen, James Dalton and his wife Lisa, Shane Kindberg and his wife Taryn O’Brien, Ryan McGeough and his wife Keelan Maguire, Lauren McGeough, and Brittany Scully and her husband, Christian.
She was also great grandmother of Nathan and Owen Giordano, Kelsey and Patrick Dalton and Declan Kindberg.
A memorial service will be held at St. Peter’s on the Canal Episcopal Church, 165 Main Street, Buzzards Bay, MA on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at 11 a.m. A collation will follow in the church hall.
