OBITUARY

Olivia Jane Roux

April 9, 1994January 10, 2020

Roux, Olivia Jane, 25, of Falmouth, MA passed away unexpectedly and too soon on January 10, 2020.

Olivia graduated from Bourne High School, where she played saxophone in the jazz band. Her artistic talents also spread to painting, drawing, writing, and theater. Her love of Beyoncé was well known to everyone, but she loved music of all genres. She was currently studying at Cape Cod Community College, where she hoped to graduate next year.

She is survived by her parents Joseph Roux of Sagamore, Martha Gallant of Sandwich, her grandparents Ann and Henry Roux of Sagamore Beach, and countless loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

I worked with Olivia at Shaws on the overnight double shift once a week, so we were often the only real company each other had during the night. I would drive her home even though she only lived a block away to make sure she was safe. I really enjoyed working with her, and was sad when I couldn't get back in contact with her after she left and was always wondering about how she was doing. I'm so sorry to learn of her passing and want you to know we are all thinking fondly of her at Shaws Falmouth

Olivia and I met in high school. We became best friends, we did everything together. Olivia would always pick me up when she got her license we would go to mall or the movies, I would always sleep at her house and she would sleep at my house. I remember we use to go to the homecoming dances together and she was my only friend at my graduation party. We had so many good times together I love her so much she was a true amazing best friend to me.

Olivia and I met working for “Shaw’s” in Falmouth. She was a sweet, soft spoken, kind and dedicated young woman . From the moment she walked in the door she was there to work and help the people she worked with! We all loved her! As the expression goes....to know Olivia was to love Olivia!
I am struggling with hearing of Olivia’s passing as we had many a conversation of her goals and dreams and what she wanted for herself and her life. She showed so much compassion towards me when I shared with her the details of my daughters passing that her words and thoughts moved me forward towards healing. Olivia was an Angel sent to earth to touch as many lives as possible, she will never be forgotten and always in our heart as that gentle soul that always saw the good in people.
