Ryan Patrick Kent

Born September 29, 1985, Ryan grew up with a love for family, hockey and living by the ocean. A hero to so many, Ryan would “never give up” when being told he had a brain tumor in 2009. He married his best friend and soul mate, Whitney Kent, and together created their two beautiful daughters Carly Kent (3) and Taylor Kent (2). Throughout his 6 year fight, his brain tumor did not define him. Between the multiple surgeries, chemotherapies and a round of radiation, he lived each inspiring day with faith, hope and love.

He is the loving son of Donna and Christopher Kent. Cherished brother of Colleen Kent, Jared Kent, and brother-in-law to Caitlin Kent, Ashley Dennen and Mark Dennen. Inspiring son-in-law to Lindsey and Kevin O’Leary. Caring grandson of Maureen and Alfred Kent. Cherished nephew to Vicky and Barry Kent, Donna and Stephen Kent, Kathy and Kerry Kent, and Matthew Kent. And he was a wonderful uncle and cousin to many.

Visitation will be held Monday July 27, 2015 4 - 8 p.m. at Nickerson Bourne Funeral Home, 40 MacArthur Blvd, Bourne, MA 02532. A celebration of his extraordinary life will be held on Tuesday July 28, 2015 at 11:00am at St. John the Evangelist Parish, 841 Shore Rd. Pocasset, MA 02559. Interment in Cataumet Cemetery.
