Sandra Halstead

HALSTEAD, Sandra J. (Ryan) 76, of Bourne, MA passed away on Monday December 6, 2021 at The Pavillion Nursing Home in Hyannis, MA. She was born to the late William and Myrtle (Davison) Ryan in Brockton, MA on December 12, 1944.

Sandra grew up in West Bridgewater, Mass. Where she attended West Bridgewater high school. Graduating in 1962, Known to many around town as Sandy Burkhard the bus driver as she drove school buses for the Town of Bourne School system for many years. She continued driving after that for the Steamship Authority shuttle buses. She loved her family and taking care of and walking her four legged companion Peyton

She is survived by her loving daughters; Susan Forte of Mashpee, MA, Deborah Gonzalez of Yalaha, FL, and son Robert Burkhard. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Ryan Fitzpatrick of Boston Mass, Shannon Fitzpatrick of Bourne Mass, Hannah Fitzpatrick of Mashpee Mass, Corey Burkhard of Tavares FL, Michael Robinson of Mt Dora FL, Brian Burkhard of Brewster Mass, and Joseph Burkhard of Bourne Mass. Neice Erin McLean of Sandwich Mass and sister Joyce Lindberg of Monument Beach, Mass.

Funeral Services will be private.
