Terese Mary Michaud reported to the Main Office for angel duty effective sometime during twilight September 1, 2023. She went to sleep and entered the long rest comfortably in her bed, in her home, which is all we could ask for at the end of a life. Formerly McCourt of the McCourt Mccalevy tribe. She leaves behind her two children, Ryan and Kathryn; as well as two sisters, two brothers, and an entire clan of nieces, nephews and cousins twice removed and so on.
As a May baby, a Taurean, Terese loved everything beautiful, everything nice. She loved flowers and pink things; like lipstick and tea towels. She loved art and music. She listened to music her whole life; felt it, connected with it, and enjoyed sharing it with others. Terese was an avid reader, she loved history, and she was a very talented writer and poet. Terese was well known as a friend of Bill W. et all, for nearly 35 years. She was considered in some circles as an old timer, but only in wisdom and experience, for she was merely on the eve of her seventh decade. Terese was a beacon of hope for many lost souls. She was an excellent listener, she worked very hard at it. She had a way with words, and with humor; she could make a dishcloth sound regal. Terese was a hilarious storyteller, and she loved reminiscing. She could make you feel at ease with her tender voice and touch. She could make you laugh even with tears streaming down your face. Terese was the kind of person who would never lie to you, perhaps even honest to a fault. She took care of people, and related to them. She loved the underdog, was always ready to stick it to the man, and she used her clever wit and charm to shine light in some of the darkest places. Terese fought a number of battles in her life, but she never gave up, she just used those trials as momentum to keep going, keep loving, and keep helping others.
Terese had a very close relationship to God, and she lived her life with a very spiritual connection to that higher power. Her spirit is eternal and lives on here, there and everywhere. Well, hopefully not EVERYwhere.
Terese Mary is gone far too soon; to say she will be missed and loved for always is an understatement.
Carry her with you: please smile and talk to people, especially the ones you see alone. Take care of your fellow neighbor and friends, try to find the humor and lean in the light. As Terese always said, “We’re all in this together.’
Services for Terese are TBD. Please contact her daughter Kathryn at [email protected] if you have any questions or would like to be a part of services.
