

Mr. Thomas Kerins Queenan, age 72 of Bourne, previously of Milton and Newton, passed Monday, June 16, 2014 at his home. He was born December 3, 1941, and was the youngest of three children, who include; his brother, Hon. James F. Queenan Jr. and his late sister, Mary Louise (Queenan) Borges. He was a proud graduate of Newton High School, and always noting this was prior to Newton North and South. He was drafted to the United States Army, where he obtained the rank of Sergeant, and scored as a marksman on the rifle range. He was honorably discharged after six years of service. He married the late Catherine E. (Hayes) Queenan and they adopted two children. He became an accountant after graduating from the University of Massachusetts, following his service. He was a proud father. He most enjoyed teaching both children to ice skate, shoot wrist shots, and create spreadsheets. After retiring, he and Cathy moved permanently to The Cape. They fell in love with Cape Cod after summering here with the family for many years. He loved technology, reading, Boston Sports, and his family. He is survived by his brother James, daughter Jennifer B. Queenan, his son David M. Queenan, and grandchildren; Adam, Madison, Shawn, Mason, and Declan. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday June 25th from 11am to 1pm at the Nickerson Bourne Funeral Home, 40 MacArthur Blvd. Bourne. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 pm at the MA National Cemetery with Military Honors.
