Wayne Webber, 78, died peacefully in his Gray Gables home on Saturday, February 29. He was the beloved husband of 47 years to the late Betty (Montuori) Webber. Wayne is survived by their 3 children, Wayne Webber Jr. of Bridgewater, Kim Webber of Raynham, David Webber and wife Mary of Bridgewater, and one grandchild, Matthew Webber of Bridgewater.
Formerly of Randolph and Bridgewater, Wayne attended Quincy Vocational Technical School and graduated from Northeastern University with a degree in mechanical engineering. He held various positions at BALCO, a Boston mechanical contractor, for a career span of 41 years. In addition, Wayne was very active in a number of industry related professional organizations and held various roles including member, trustee, and president. Wayne was a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He had a strong faith and enjoyed reading, traveling, and spending time with family.
Wayne was the son of the late Walter and Annabell Webber. He also leaves behind 4 siblings: Douglas Webber of Onset, James Webber of Taunton, Joanne Emerson of Taunton, and Linda Rogers of Mansfield, as well as many nieces and nephews. Wayne was also brother to the late Walter Paul Webber Jr., Anne McGrath, and Daniel Webber.
A church service will be held at First Baptist Church, 298 Barlows Landing Road, Pocasset on Saturday, March 14 at 10am. Visitation with the family will be from 9-10am.
