Born in Lansing, Michigan to Joseph and Mary Klasko. Following her graduation from Eastern High School, Agnes accepted a position with Consumer Power in Lansing. She married her husband Weldon (John) W. Johnson on June 18, 1955. Upon John’s retirement from the United States Marine Corps, the family settled in Bowie, Maryland in 1971. After raising her family, she began her career with the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission, retiring in 1998.
She is survived by her sister, JoAnn Woodworth; daughter Janice Johnson, sons Craig Johnson (Connie), David Johnson (Stephanie), Thomas Johnson (Karen), and Timothy Johnson (Lauren); grandchildren Matthew (Karyn) Johnson, Christine (Stephen) Watts, Sarah Johnson, Rachel Johnson, Andrea Johnson, and Elizabeth Johnson; and great grandchildren Valerie Johnson, Irene Johnson, June Johnson, Wren Watts, and Isla Watts. She was preceded in death by her husband Weldon (John) W. Johnson (CAPT Ret., USMC); parents Joseph and Mary Klasko; siblings Rose Soule, Anne Klasko, Christine Klasko, Joe Klasko, Richard Klasko, Frank Klasko, and Jerry Klasko.
The family will hold a private Memorial service graveside at Arlington National Cemetery, date to be determined.
