Andrew Phillip Windsor, affectionately known as “Drew” to his friends, and “Drewbie” to close family, was born at Southern Maryland Hospital in Clinton, MD on January 19, 1995, to Anthony “Andy” and Tracia “Traci” Windsor. He attended schools in Prince George’s and Anne Arundel Counties in MD. After graduating from high school, Andrew completed an accredited HVAC program at Prince George’s Community College. He was a hard and diligent worker who was not afraid to roll up his sleeves and do the heavy lifting.
Andrew was especially close with his younger sister, Sydney and was always there to support her endeavors and celebrate her achievements. In 2018, he met his love, Emily during a weekend at the beach with friends. Emily’s gentle and calming demeanor coupled with Andrew’s adventurous ways was a perfect match! Although his size and stature were intimidating to some people, at heart, Andrew was a “gentle giant” and “big teddy bear” willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. One of Andrew’s favorite things to do was skateboarding, especially while being pulled by family dog, Mason. He also enjoyed rollerblading, water sports, riding his beloved motorcycle, driving his truck, listening to music, and playing golf and pool. Additionally, Andrew took time to enjoy the beauty of nature by camping and hunting. His favorite foods were sushi, shrimp and grits, and his mom’s home cooking.
Andrew was a loyal friend to many and put the needs of others above his own. He loved being with family and friends and was often the “un”official DJ at gatherings and special events. He loved all genres of music. Andrew was always grateful and always thankful. In his personal journal, he wrote, “kindness and respect are the keys to getting through the worst in life.”
Andrew is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Richard Sugars Belletty and his paternal grandmother, Emily Evelyn Windsor. Also, he leaves to mourn his passing and to treasure his spirit and memory, parents, Anthony and Tracia Windsor; one sister, Sydney; endless love, Emily Jackson; maternal grandmother, Evelyn Cheddie; paternal grandfather, Eugene Windsor; four aunts, Debbie Belletty, Jane Lanier (Darrell), Gina Poje (Jim), and Lisa Taylor (Jerry); two uncles, Paul Belletty (Viola), and Alonzo Windsor (Candice); and a host of other relatives and friends.
