Belinda continued to excel academically and was so excellent especially in Mathematics that she would never be contented if  anyone else got a better mark than her. Little did she know that another Mathematician would join us in Primary 5. Kemi challenged Belinda so much that we were reminded of an incident when she literally had to go through Kemi's Math paper to find just one error to remain on the top. It now sounds funny but that's how meticulous and competitive she was.

Soon we completed our Primary level and Belinda got her super aggregate 4 to take her straight to Gayaza High School where she continued to excel. And I believe this is where she met Jesus and her faith begun to grow.

We all have memories of Bel...a beautiful soul, so soft spoken ...tayagala balekaana nga nze but was always courteous with a sweet soft laughter from her heart. 

Belinda loved the Lord, she spoke of Jesus and growth in our walk all the time.

The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised” (Job 1:21).

To Belinda's immediate family, may you find comfort in the Lord. He alone knows the deepest pain you have much as we believe that our sister is happy where she is. May Psalm 46 become real in this situation. (God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble)

A couple of weeks before Belinda's passing, she called me and we talked about a few things. She sounded fine and promised to call me back and we conclude on some pending issues she mentioned to me. I also shared with her 2 contacts of our friends abroad and they tell me that she reached out to them. It was a shock when we got the news of her passing. 

Belinda was our  blood....We met as little girls in 1991 (P4) in Gayaza Junior School. She could hardly wash, clean and do any personal administration...a sweet little girl from Lesotho. It was baptism by fire for her and some of the newcomers at that time (AnnaT, Birah and afew others) Life was not so easy but we pulled through.

I personally grew fond of her and decided to be her big sis back in the day, until Birah took over.  I helped her learn to take care of herself and after that year, she was good to go...and could ably carry out her personal administration..... I thank God for using me.

 In class, she was an excellent pupil. Very good in Mathematics and English... however, Social Studies and Science were not so easy for her.
 Belinda was so determined to excel in all the four subjects and I became her small little tutor. We used to meet after classes and go through the day's topics and she gradually improved. By the time we completed Primary Four, she was among the top students in our class (P.4 K- Miss Kazinda now Mrs.Wasswa was our class teacher)

Belinda was an extraordinary individual, embodying a profound love for God and an unwavering dedication to serving others. Within our fellowship group at Watoto Church (early 2000s) in Uganda, she radiated warmth and kindness, touching the lives of many. Her leadership in organizing outreach efforts in the slums of Naguru reflected her deep passion for fulfilling God's work and extending love to those in need. Beyond her ministry, Belinda's love knew no bounds; she cherished her family deeply. As we mourn her passing, we are reminded of the immense impact she had on us all.  Her absence will be deeply felt.  Belinda, Rest in His Glory🤍

It's with a heavy heart that I write this. Belinda was such a sweetheart. We went to school together at Gayaza High School and I was so blessed to have known her. She put others before herself, was always mindful of others feelings and so in a way, she rarely spoke out of tone. When she did speak, it was always with grace. She was a brilliant mathematician, actually an A+ student. And yet in spite of her academic genius she was humble. She always had the time to help me when I struggled with an equation or formula and  for the large part of my school years with her, she was truly my confidant and friend. Belinda I will miss you knowing I will never hear your angelic voice or see your smile. Yet I know because you loved the Lord God, you are now in paradise with Him. Truly there's no more fitting place than heaven for you, for you were our angel, always were, and now always will be. Rest in eternal Peace Belinda, till we meet again.

Belinda and I connected in GAJUSH when we all started in P. 4 and were the new kids on the block who also struggled to speak the popular "Luganda" . Belinda's accent didn't make matters any better 🥰. Belinda was so smart, scoring only As. It's so sad that you've passed at such a young age, but the testimonies of your passion for Christ are what console us all. We will meet in Heaven at the feet of Jesus. May your family find solace in Jesus whom you loved passionately.

Berindah you will be missed the whole family in UK and Uganda still in shock . May your soul RIP and God forgive you. 🙏🏻
