Bernard “Bernie” Fabian Heilig, Jr., 95, a 65-year resident of Glenn Dale, MD found peace on February 20, 2024. Bernie was born in Bowie, MD on July 22, 1928 and later attended Bowie High School. He worked as a farmer and spent 42 years with the Glenn Dale Golf and Country Club.
Bernie was a member of Ascension Catholic Church in Bowie.
Bernie is survived by his long time companion, Juanita Reilly, as well as many nieces and nephews.
he was preceded in death by his beloved wife Virginia in 2003, his brothers, Gerard “Roddy” Heilig and Joseph “Gene” Eugene Heilig.
Friend and family are invited to the visitation and fellowship at the Robert E. Evans Funeral Home, 16000 Annapolis Road Bowie, MD, on Friday, March 1, 2024 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM.
Funeral Services will follow on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 11AM. At the Robert E. Evans Funeral Home.
Following the services, Bernie will be buried alongside his wife in Fort Lincoln Cemetery.
