

Betty Elizabeth Gauthier, 93, of Crofton, MD., went peacefully to be with the Lord on April 1, 2020. She was born in Norwich, England on June 22, 1926. After completing High School in England, she served her country by working in an Ammunition Plant and Mustard Factory during WWII.
Betty later met and married the love of her life Alphonse, and was married April 18, 1959. While living in Bowie, Betty worked as a Waitress and Crossing Guard in Anne Arundel County.
Betty was recently preceded in death by her husband Alphonse, who passed August 25, 2019. She is survived by her loving children, Carol Carita, Mary Truelove, Joanne Cashwell, Al Gauthier, Jr., and Lori Williamson, her 11 grand-children, 23 Great-grandchildren, and 1 Great-great-grandchild.
Betty was a practicing Catholic, and a parishioner at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bowie.
Betty enjoyed knitting and going to the Casino’s. She enjoyed knitting mittens, hats, gloves, and blankets for several charitable organizations. She also had a special talent for knitting clothes for Barbie Dolls, which were sent to children at Family Crisis Centers across the country. Owing to her British heritage, Tea Time has one of her favorite times of the day.
Due to the current events of today’s Coronavirus protocols, the following Viewing will be limited to 10 people at a time.
A Viewing will be from 2-4 PM, and 6-8 PM, on Thursday, April 9, 2020, at the Robert E. Evans Funeral Home – 16000 Annapolis Road, Bowie, MD 20715.
There will be a private Christian Burial Service that will be live streamed via Robert E. Evans Facebook Page, at 1 PM, Friday, April 10, 2020.
A video of the burial will be available on Robert E. Evans Facebook Page for one week following the Service.
