Bryant Simpson was born on December 16, 1959, to the union of Hugh Paul and Geraldine (Lipsey) Simpson who preceded him in death. Bryant was the fifth child of eight children, two who preceded him in death-Robert and Clifford Simpson.
Bryant graduated from W.P. Daniel High School at the age of 17. With his mother's consent, he signed up for the Navy. Because of his drive and determination, Bryant quickly rose through the ranks, becoming the youngest petty officer within his division.
After his time in the military, Bryant decided to move to the Washington Metropolitan area, where he became a successful insurance agent. Never content with stopping there, he went back to school, became a car salesman, and eventually advanced to general manager, opening several car dealerships. He was also a successful realtor in the Washington DC/ Maryland/Virginia areas. He also served as an election judge for Prince George County known as the Mayor of the election crew! Bryant retired in 2010, devoting his time to helping others achieve their goals.
Bryant's favorite pastimes included fishing, golfing, and football. He loved all kinds of music. At the time of his passing, he was studying to become a Jehovah's Witness.
Bryant will be remembered for his warmth, humor and love for family and friends. As his loved ones shared, "We were the 3 Stooges: now it's 2. The leader has left the building. Peace, be still, and let us breathe."
He leaves behind his beloved wife Oleina (Lee) Simpson, son Bryant A. J. Washington, granddaughter Tamara Lacey Washington, four brothers, Roger (Brenda), Paul (Linda), Timothy Martin; one sister Linda Green all from New Albany, Mississippi; three brother-in-laws James Lee (Gloria), John Lee(Katherine),
