Catherine Cecilia Tayman

Catherine was born in Washington, D.C. She was a graduate of La Reine High School (LRHS) class of 1969. One of her proudest times was being a majorette marching in parades, then teaching twirling, in the 1960's. She was an active member of Ascension Catholic Church. She retired from the Prince George's County Police Department after over 36 years, where she was a School Crossing Guard from November 13, 1978-November 26, 2005 and then as a Crossing Guard Supervisor from November 27, 2005 until April 1, 2015.

Catherine was the wife of 50 years to the late Ronald C. Tayman; mother of Traci L. Eppley and her husband Eric, Dennis K. Tayman and his wife Jennifer and the late Donald J. Tayman; sister to the late Mary Patricia Zambreny; grandmother of Connor, Raegan, Reese, Rylan and Jordan; and great-grandmother of Kayden and Journey.

A visitation for Catherine will be held Tuesday, September 30, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 16000 Annapolis Road, Bowie, MD 20715.

A funeral service will occur Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Ascension Catholic Church, 12700 Lanham Severn Rd, Bowie, MD 20720.

Her graveside service will follow at 1:00 PM in Resurrection Cemetery, 8000 Woodyard Rd, Clinton, MD 20735.
