On Good Friday, April 6, 2012, Celestino Anzola of Bowie, MD was called peacefully home. A native of Colombia, S.A., he was the son of the late Candido Anzola and Campos Cruz. Immediate survivors include his beloved wife of 59 years, Ligia Cadena Anzola, his children, Eduardo Anzola, Fernando Anzola, and Mariela Anzola Leary; his grandchildren Stephanie P. Anzola and Daniel J. Anzola; his nieces and nephews, and numerous family members both in the U.S. and in Colombia.
Celestino had been a coffee grower, member of the military, and police forces in his native Colombia. He worked for many years in the restaurant industry, and enjoyed working hard. He was a farmer and gardener at heart and was happiest being outdoors tending to his garden and doing yard work. He also enjoyed to travel with family, especially on cruise ships.
The family is grateful to the dear family and friends who provided great comfort during the recent weeks.
