On Sunday, May 15, 2016 God called home one of his angels this morning. Our mom lived for 92 years and had a good life. She was born in Surrey County, Virginia, grew up in Baltimore and spent most of her life in Washington, D.C. Until she moved to Maryland in her retirement years. Her brother and sister preceded her in death as did her two husbands. Mom traveled the United States, Hawaii, Caribbean, and Europe. God blessed her. She is survived by two daughters and sons (she considered them sons not sons in law), five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and a host of nieces,nephews, and cousins. Our mom was a strong advocate for education, equal rights and respect. She will be missed but never forgotten.
