Damon Thomas Giles

It is with much sadness to announce Damon T. Giles, born September 20, 1973, in Washington DC passed away January 3, 2023. Damon attended University of Maryland and graduated with honors in both an Undergraduate and Masters degree in Business and Finance. Most recently he held the position of Senior Budget Analyst at Baltimore City Community College.

Damon will always be remembered as a fierce Washington Commanders fan. And he always referred to them as the Washington Redskins, never adopting the new name. Aside from football, Damon loved the Annapolis area perfect for fishing and boating. He enjoyed living in the area in his final years.

His deteriorating health in the final months resulted in his lack of being able to enjoy his friends and his sports. Damon is survived by his Grandmother, Thelma McMahon; his mother Doris Giles-McMahon; his father John Giles; his brother Scott Quill; his Sister-in law Kathy Quill; his niece Sophia Quill; his nephew Thomas Quill; his cousins Katherine McMahon, Ryan McMahon, Rachael McMahon, Shannon M, Allie Braun, his Aunt Dede McMahon, and Karen McMahon . He is predeceased by his Grandfather Thomas McMahon who was his hero and his Uncle Gordon T. McMahon.

Damon was a gentle soul and left us too soon.
