DAVE and I met riding the MARC train to work. He helped feed and take care of the feral cats at the train station for many years. He was a wonderful friend and will truly be missed.

I wanted David's family to know just how very special he was to me as he'd been my barber since I worked in the Senate in 1986. He always remembered my family members and this personal touch made him practically a member of my extended family. Life is a journey with many twists and turns and David shared many of them with me so I can't thank him enough for being such a consistent, caring part of my life. I truly regret that I can't be there tomorrow to honor this wonderful man but I know that he'd understand that my duty here in Montreal calls.

God bless and keep you, my brother. Ambassador Tom Carter, US Rep to ICAO
