

Demair Lloyd was born in Jackson, MS to Amy Marie Lloyd on December 12, 1982. In his youth, he became a member of Pleasant Gift Missionary Baptist Church in Morton, MS and remained a member until he moved to Maryland in 1996. In 2006, he joined the Prince George’s County Fire and EMS Department. For twenty years, he faithfully served the residents of Prince George's County as a Firefighter/Paramedic, dedicating his life to protecting and caring for others during their most difficult moments. His courage, professionalism, and selfless commitment to public service earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and the community he served.
Demair was lovingly raised by his grandparents, Lewis Gene Lloyd and Florence Lucille Voorhies Lloyd, both of whom preceded him in death. Their guidance, values, and unwavering love helped shape the man he became. He was also lovingly nurtured and supported by his aunt, Tiffany Lloyd-Walker, whose presence and care played an important role throughout his life. He shared a special and unbreakable bond with his twin sister, Shamair Lloyd, whose love and friendship remained constant.
Demair Lloyd was the beloved husband of Maria Lloyd, with whom he shared and built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Their journey together began in 2008 when they were assigned to the same fire station, and a friendship began to blossom. By 2011, that friendship had grown into a deep and lasting love, leading to a whirlwind elopement in 2016. From that moment on, their lives became a shared adventure, one filled with joy, unwavering companionship, and countless unforgettable experiences.
A devoted uncle, Demair leaves behind his beloved nephews, Isaiah and Jeremiah, and his treasured nieces, Kyliah and Isabella, all of whom brought him immense joy and pride. If you truly knew Demair, you know how he felt about his nieces and nephews.
Demair leaves a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends cherished memories. He shared a particularly special bond with his close-knit group of cousins, affectionately known as the "Cream of the Crop," whose love, laughter, and lifelong friendship were a treasured part of his life. He is also preceded in death by his first cousin Jerkesheia Jervon Lee.
A proud member of Career Recruit School Class #37, Demair was beloved by his brothers and sisters in the PGFD. He was a skilled firefighter and paramedic, known for his composure during high-stress incidents. His kindness extended to those he worked with and the communities he served.
Demair will be remembered for his dedication to family, his willingness to help those in need, and the warmth he brought to those around him. Whether serving his community, spending time with loved ones, or offering words of encouragement, he touched countless lives and will always be remembered for his humble, generous spirit.
Though his earthly journey has ended, Demair's legacy of love, service, strength, and compassion will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM and end at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 12, 2026
Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 AM on June 12, 2026 in the Riverdale Baptist Church, located at 1177 Largo Road Upper Marlboro, Maryland 20774
Demair will then be laid to rest following the service at 2:00 PM on Friday, June 12, 2026 in Maryland National Memorial Park, 13300 Baltimore Ave, Laurel MD.
