Diane DeMarinis Greene

Diane grew up in Palisades Park, N.J., until moving to suburban Maryland in 1953 with her parents and three sisters. She graduated from Northwestern High School in Hyattsville, Md., in 1959. During her adult life, she moved back and forth between Florida and Maryland several times, marrying twice, raising her two sons and caring for her mother, Mildred, until her death in 1988.

Diane worked a variety of jobs during her career: as a dental assistant in Maryland; a real estate agent in Florida and in customer service for Hecht’s department store in Arlington, Va.

She married her beloved husband William (Bill) Greene in 1996. They made their homes in Glen Dale, Md., and Kissimmee, Fla., enjoying life as snowbirds, before retiring to Jessup, Md.

Diane was preceded in death by her husband Bill, who passed away in 2016, as well as her sister Mary Anne. She is survived by two sisters, Millicent and Barbara, her two sons, Michael (Lara) and Adam, as well as three grandchildren, Ariah, Anna and Alec, and one great-grandchild, Wilder. She is also survived by her stepson, Buddy, wife Teri and their children, Brittany and Hope, her stepdaughter Peni and husband Jeff, and two grandchildren, Melissa and Holly, as well as many nieces and nephews in her extended family.

A visitation will be held on January 3, 2026, at 11:00 am to Noon, at the Robert E. Evans Funeral Home, located at 16000 Annapolis Road, Bowie, Maryland, 20715.

Her funeral service will follow at 12:00 pm, with her interment to follow in Ivy Hill Cemetery, 1201 Sandy Spring Road, Laurel, MD, 20707, on January 3, 2026.
