was surrounded by his family as he passed peacefully on April 3, 2017, following a brief illness. Born in Syracuse, NY in 1929 to Winifred Lynch Christopher and Lincoln Christopher. Beloved father, he is survived by sons, Donald and Michael, grandchildren, Rachel, Nathan, Courtney, and Marie, and great grandchildren, Landon and Chase. DJ resided in Crownsville, MD with his wife, Betty. He was predeceased by his first wife, Lorraine (2000) and his sisters, Jean Tomeny and Patricia Hooper. DJ served in the US Marine Corps and was a graduate of American University. He was a Chartered Life Underwriter in the insurance industry for most of his career. DJ and Lorraine raised their children attending St Luke's Episcopal Church, where he taught Sunday school for many years. He was involved in local Maryland politics, volunteering to work the polls during elections. A celebration of life memorial service will take place in the future, at the time of his inurnment into Arlington National Cemetery.
