Dad, I found the poem you left me and got your message. I want you to know that there was no better father. Thanks for giving us all we needed and wanted, with such generosity, love and ingenuity! Thank you for our Christian foundation and all the songs, camping, swimming… strong family ties. Even the tough love you did right, and I wouldn’t be SunRae Herbals if it wasn’t for you. You pushed us all on our paths best you could. We are proud to be your children . You were our Captain, and I realize now that we are, in every way, the clay you molded. Rest easy, Dad. I hope you come to visit me after you’ve made the rounds. I’m forever grateful, and will keep you close. You’re forever a shining light in so many of us!

Don, you will be missed by sooo many. Some of the best stories I have ever heard were of Don and Joe Flood's childhood pranks! If you can, ask Joe to tell you a few, so funny. Don, you always made me feel like you were genuinely happy to see me. A great quality in a person. You and Janet have always been considered part of our family. Uncle Donnie was a true Father, Friend and my Uncle. A gentleman who would shake your hand every time and give you a big smile and cared about how you were doing. Some of my fondest childhood memories were at the house he and his army of kids lived at in New Carrollton the refreshing pool and the coolest Zip line in the world and as We moved on in our adult lives he was still there for support as we lost family members dear and close to each of us. He never judged anyone, he was a family man and a friend and my uncle  and will always be dearly loved and missed.

Don always had a smile on his face, a whistle on his lips, and a warm hug to share at Trinity. He was truly a blessing.

Uncle Don was always so nice to everyone! I remember the fun times with Uncle Don and how well he treated us. Always had a smile on his face and kept such a calm, cool, and collected demeanor. We used to have family vacations in Ocean City  when we filled Ocean Colony with Bugg’s and Malay’s.  I remember Uncle Don taking Patrick and I to the water slide a couple of times. I thought that was so cool of him. He was great man and I’m happy he was able to live a full life and can now enjoy eternal life in heaven. 

It was always great to work at Trinity with Don.  He was one of God's great people.

Ron, It is with deep sadness that my condolences are to you and your family during this time. When I moved to Lanham, you became my best friend and I will always remember your dad as my second dad when we were growing up. We had it made. My dad being a judge and yours a pastor. The life lessons that he taught us remain with me today. You were blessed to have a father so special and caring. He was always giving and never wanting anything in return but the best for his family. Surely he will be missed by everyone who knew him. Rest assured that heaven is a much better place today with God taking him home. May he watch over you and your family until the day comes that you are together again.
